Welcome to the tennis beginners course! Due to a lot of demand we will organize two beginner courses this summer.
This four-time course is meant for beginner tennis players, or you who has never even held a tennis racket in your hand but want to learn!
On the course we will learn about tennis basics such as racket handling, basic strikes and moving on the court though different exercises and small games. The goal is that after this course each participant will have a full knowledge for independent play.

uMove Tennis for Advanced FULL
Welcome to the tennis for advanced course! This four-time course is for you if you have the basic of tennis covered and want to learn new things. The course fits perfectly for those who have taken the beginner- course or who have some independent playing sessions behind them.
We will practice a more tactical movement and reading of the game as well as develop different striking techniques. We will also try to find out your individual strengths as a player and build your own playing style. The goal is that everyone will develop a vision of themselves as a tennis player and get tools to independently develop themselves further.

uMove x Crossfit Harju Running School
Welcome to the running school to find the joy in running, techniques and kick start this summer's running season! On the course we will learn basic techniques of running. On this six-time course we will go though different exercises to develop your running posture, speed, and endurance. The course fits perfectly for those who want to develop their own running and learn different practices. Specific place information will be informed to each participant before the course begins.

Course Schedule:

Running technique, theme: hill running |
We will learn posture and the meaning of coordination practices. We will practice spurts in hills with longer recovery times. |
2. lesson |
Running technique, theme: endurance |
We will learn about the meaning of endurance training and how to evaluate the intensity of a run and heartbeat. |
3. lesson |
Running technique, theme: tempo running Location: JYU Campus Sports Field |
We will learn about a correct cadence and its meaning for sustainable running. We will practice a bit longer runs while keeping the intensity moderate by focusing on technique practices. |
4. lesson |
Running technique, theme: fartlek Location: JYU Campus Sports Field |
A longer running practice which includes intervals and different speeds. The goal is to practice sustainability, recovery and keeping up the running posture. |
5. lesson |
Running technique, theme: interval practice Location: JYU Campus Sports Field |
We'll go though the meaning of interval practice and its possibilities. We will combine this with what has been learned before. |
6. lesson |
Strength training for supporting running |
We will go trough the meaning of strength training(maximum power/ endurance and preventing injuries). We will go through the techniques for the most common runners strength training practices: squat, deadlift, calves and core. |
