BODYBALANCE™ 

Strengthen, stretch & relax! 

Les Mills BODYBALANCE™ classes concentrate on the well-being of body and mind. The class consists of movements of balance, mobility, and strength, as well as stretching and relaxing. The program is from New Zealand and it is choreographed to beautiful and inspiring music. BODYBALANCE™ stretches and strengthens the muscles and ligaments. It also enhances our coordination, balance, and stress tolerance.

Take care of your body and recover better!  

Body Care classes help you to recover, improve your body control and increase mobility. The class consists of a warm-up, different exercises and relaxation at the end of the class.

CIRCL Mobility™ 

Release, restore and renew! 
 
Based on the science of functional movement, CIRCL Mobility™ focuses on flexibility, breathwork, and mobility exercises. CIRCL Mobility™ helps you release stiffness and stress, restore your range of motion, speed up recovery and renew your ability to move better, longer.

EASY Stretch

Stretch and relax!

EASY Stretch is a relaxing stretching class for the whole body. It’s suitable after a workout or on its own. EASY Stretch will help you recover better and increases mobility. It’s also a great way to relax for a bit after a busy day.

EASY Yoga 

Relax and enjoy! 

EASY Yoga welcomes you to slow down. The class is a combination of soft flow yoga and relaxation. EASY Yoga holds space for a peaceful moment to let go of stress, breath deep, strengthen your body and relax your muscles by sinking into deep stretches and final relaxation.

Flow Yoga 

Enjoy the flow of yoga asanas! 

Flow Yoga class is a smooth flow of yoga movements that will increase your mobility, stability, balance and strength. Different variations of the movements make the class suitable for beginners and experienced yogis.

Healthy Back  

Get a healthy back! 

Healthy Back is a class that promotes the well-being of the back, focusing on mobility, body control, functional training and strengthening the muscles of the spine. The class is well suited as a counterbalance to sitting and screen work, restorative training and prevention of back pain.  

During the class, you can move according to your condition by selecting the appropriate options. The class is suitable for everyone.

Pilates 

Stability and mobility! 

Pilates classes are based upon the classical repertoire of Joseph Pilates with additional versatile bodyweight exercises. The main goal of the class is to train core muscle strength and in addition, to improve whole-body flexibility and motor control. 

Pilates is suitable for everyone as exercises are presented at multiple levels.

Relax-Restore-Reset Yoga 

Relax, restore and reset! 

Relax-Restore-Reset Yoga is held at Yarnanta’s Yoga Studio, Address Kauppakatu 1. Bookings for the class are made through Yarnanta. 

Relax-Restore-Reset is a wonderful yoga class that includes relaxing and joint lubricating movement and soothing stretches. 

The class is suitable for all.

Yin yoga 

Stretch and relax! 

Yin yoga is a very calm and relaxing yoga practice. In yin yoga we do asanas that affects muscles, fascia and joints. We hold the stretchy asanas for 3-5 minutes.  

Yin yoga has balancing affect, especially if you do a lot of sports or if you want to relax deeply. Take your own blanket or a towel with you to support the asanas. 

Practice is suitable for all and you can do variations from the asanas.

Cardio & Strength 

Abs & Booty  

Strong core and strong legs! 

Abs & Booty is an effective & functional workout for core muscles & lower body.

BODYCOMBAT 

Let your inner fighter out! 

Les Mills BODYCOMBATis an empowering cardio workout that is inspired by different kinds of martial arts, such as karate, kick-boxing, muay thai and taekwondo, the program teaches you the main principals of the different martial arts, lifts your heart rate up to the ceiling and makes you push yourself to the limits.  

You don't have to have any previous experience of martial arts training so come and join!

Bootcamp 

Workout with a team spirit! 

Bootcamp is a functional high-intensity workout. The class starts with short warm-up and continues with workout of the day using bodyweight and different equipment. Bootcamp develop your balance, motor skills, endurance and strength. The instructor and the team will keep you going on!  

The workout is tough but the exercises have different levels from which you can choose lighter or heavier versions. 

Intensity:very high 

Cardio & Tone 

A feel-good class! 

Cardio & Tone is a mixture of cardio and strengthening exercises. The cardio parts of the class consist of easy steps and you can vary the intensity by choosing low or high impact versions of the steps. The strength and toning exercises are done with bodyweight and using different equipment like dumbbells and resistance bands. The variable music keeps you going!

Circuit 

Effective workout for the whole body! 

Circuit Training enhances endurance and muscle strength. The music and the encouraging instructor will keep you going throughout this class. Different equipment are used to make the workout more effective. 

We wish that all the participants help by carrying the required equipment from the storage to the class and back to the storage. 

The class is suitable for all.

Core 

Build a rock-solid core! 

Core class strengthens your entire core. Class starts with gentle warm-up and continues with balance and strengthening exercises.  Join the easy-going class that is suitable for all!

Crosstraining 

Challenge yourself and get fit fast! 

Crosstraining is a challenging class that develops endurance, strength, mobility, explosiveness, balance and coordination. The class includes varied functional movements with barbells, kettlebells etc. without forgetting the traditional body weight training movements (squats, push-ups, etc..). 

Intensity: very high 

EASY Strength 

Get strong in an easy-going class! 

EASY Strength gives you a good sweat with strength exercises done using your own bodyweight and different equipment like dumbbells or mini bands.  

EASY Strength is suitable for beginners but it’s also a good workout for more experienced athletics since you can choose lighter or heavier weights.

Fit Boxing 

Fit Boxing is an effective workout including boxing techniques, conditioning and strengthening exercises.

Functional Training  

Functional workout for the whole body! 

Functional Training Classes are held at CF40100, address: Ailakinkatu 5. Registration for the classes is via registration system of CF40100. See more information. 

Functional Training classes are intensive workouts combining rowing, running, bodyweight movements and weightlifting. The workout can be performed at different levels

Gym Workout 

Get all out of your gym workout! 

Gym workout is a guided gym training where you can learn the basics of gym training, get to know how to use the equipment and learn the right techniques for multiple gym exercises. This is also a great option for those that don’t like working out at the gym alone – with the instructor and a group spirit you’ll get all out! 

This class is suitable for all.

HIIT 

The fastest way to get fit! 

HIIT (High Intesity Interval Training) is a short and effective workout! You’ll get to challenge yourself with intensive intervals that target your whole body. 

The workout is tough but as you can choose between different variations of movements the workout can be performed at different levels.

Indoor Cycling   

Fun and effective cardio workout! 

Cycling classes are held at Klub1, address: Kivääritehtaankatu 6. Registration for the classes is via Klub1. See more info. 

Indoor Cycling is an effective interval workout that will work on cardio and your lower body muscles.  

The class is suitable for all. 

Intensity: mid 

Kettlebell 

An effective workout for your whole body! 

Kettlebell builds strength and endurance, as well as improves balance. Training with kettlebells makes you use all your muscles! The class consists of warm up, different kinds of exercises and stretching. 

The class is suitable for beginners as well as for advanced. 

Intensity: high 

Pump 

Work out your whole body in one hour! 

Pump workout strengthens your entire body. The workout challenges all your major muscle groups by using the best exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls. The exercises are done with barbell and with the amount of weights of your choice.  

The step boards and dumbbells are not used at Liikunta building.  

You can choose the weights you use and so the class is suitable for beginners as well as for advanced.

Step Aerobics 

Energetic cardio workout with a step board! 

Step Aerobics consists of cardio sequences using a step board. Step aerobics is very effective cardio workout and it’s also great for endurance of your lower body. 

The class may also include jumps but you can choose to stay in low impact versions. You can also change the intensity level of your workout by adjusting the height of your step board. Hence the class is suitable for beginners as well as for advanced.

Strong Arms

Strengthen your upper body!

Strong Arms is a short but effective upper body workout. You can do the exercises on your own pace and choose the suitable weights for your own level so you can join the workout whether you’re a beginner or advanced. This short workout is easy to fit in a busy day and it’s a great workout on its own but if you wish a longer workout, you might combine it with Strong Legs or Stong Core class. They both make a great combination with Strong Arms.

Strong Core

Strengthen your core muscles!

Strong Core is a short but effective workout for your core muscles. You can do the exercises on your own pace and choose the suitable variations so you can join the workout whether you’re a beginner or advanced. This short workout is easy to fit in a busy day and it’s a great workout on its own but if you wish a longer workout, you might combine it with Strong Arms or EASY Stretch class. They both make a great combination with Strong Core.

Strong Legs

Strengthen your lower body!

Strong Legs is a short but effective lower body workout. You can do the exercises on your own pace and choose the suitable weights for your own level so you can join the workout whether you’re a beginner or advanced. This short workout is easy to fit in a busy day and it’s a great workout on its own but if you wish a longer workout, you might stay for the Strong Arms class – these two make a great combination together.

STRONG Nation™ 

Stop counting the reps - start training to the beat! 

STRONG Nation™ combines bodyweight muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometric training synced to original music that has been specifically designed to match every single move. Every squat, every lunge, every burpee is driven by the music, helping you make it to that last rep, and maybe even five more. 

In each class you'll burn calories while toning arms, legs, abs and glutes. Plyometric or explosive moves like high knees, burpees, and jumping jacks are interchanged with isometric moves like lunges, squats, and kickboxing. STRONG Nation™ is tough but fun! You have to try it! 

The class is suitable for intermediate / advanced.

Learn how to blend step aerobics with the fun and effective Zumba® program for a workout targeting legs, glutes and core and getting a great cardio exercise at the same time.

Barre is a combination of ballet dancing, aerobics and body care. Barre increases your mobility, strength and improves your posture. Come and enjoy!

Commercial 

Let out your inner Beyonce! 

Commercial is a street dance style which is inspired by music videos and commercial videos. Commercial is a fusion of various styles like hiphop, waacking, jazz dance and show dance. Besides technique we are training strong performing and finding your own style.

EASY Shuffle 

Shuffle is a fun dance class with quick steps! 

In this class you’ll learn different shuffling steps and a fun choreography.  

You don’t need any previous experience in dancing. All you need is some sneakers and you’re ready to shuffle!

Historical Dances 

Let your inner Mr. Darcy or Elizabeth Bennett free!  

Historical Dances are mainly court and folk dances from 1500s-1700s England, France and Italy. 
You don’t need your own partner and no special clothing is needed. 
Class is suitable for beginners as well as those who have practiced historical dances before.

Reggaeton   

Come and enjoy a fundance class of reggaeton!   

You’ll learnthe basics steps of reggaeton and a fun choreography. At the same time you’ll get a good sweat 

The teacher of the class is a professional dancer and a teacherfrom Cuba! Reidelteaches with a happy and energetic style. He speaks Spanish but also knows the basics of Finnish. No worries if you’re English-speakingthe class is still easy to follow.   

The class is suitable for all. Don’t worry if it feels a bit difficult at firstyou'll get it in time!

Salsa solo 

Learn Cuban salsa steps! 

Come and enjoy a fundance class of Cuban salsa. In Salsa solo classes you’ll be dancingsolowithout a pair. You’ll learnthe basics steps of salsa and a fun choreography. At the same time you’ll get a good sweat!  

The teacher of the class is a professional dancer and a teacherfrom Cuba! Reidelteaches with a happy and energetic style. He speaks Spanish but also knows the basics of Finnish. No worries if you’re English-speakingthe class is still easy to follow.

Shake & Twerk

A real dance cocktail made of twerk, dancehall, and reggaeton!

The main focus of the class is having fun while dancing, but you can also take this opportunity to get to know the characteristics of different dance styles. One thing is for sure—you will sweat! All the dance styles are energetic and and the focus is on using your core muscles. Each class finishes off with a longer choreography where you get to savor the ingredients. This time, dance will be served "Shaken—and stirred!"

There might be some floor work in the class so if you wish take something to cover your knees, for example leg warmers.

Show Dance

Show dance is a diverse fusion of various dance styles and its technique is based on jazz dance. The class consists of warm up, technique training with different kinds of pirouettes and jumps and of course choreography.

Zumba® 

Join the fitness party! 

Zumba® is exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired dance fitness class for everybody and every body! Each class is designed to bring people together to sweat it on. Zumba is a mix of low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party.

Acrobatics 

Learn new skills! 

In the acrobatics class, new skills are practiced in a variety of ways, both individually, in pairs and in small groups. The classes focus on learning and developing in the pair and group elements typical of acrobatic gymnastics, as well as in various individual movements. The acrobatics class is based on gymnastics and especially develops body control, mobility, balance, strength, and agility. 

The classes proceed according to the level of the participants, while at the same time allowing you to challenge yourself.

Strength, new skills and mobility! 

Bodyweight is a form of calisthenics: training is performed using your own bodyweight and it improves your strength and coordination.  

There are easier and harder variations of each movement so you can be either new or experienced in this sport.
