A sports sticker is your ticket to Academic Sports!

Sports sticker fees

If you have already bought an academic year 2016-2017 sports sticker, you have an access to group fitness classes, ball game sessions and Kortepohja gym during the summer season. If you don't own a sports sticker you can buy a summer sticker:

1. A sticker that includes all the services 30€. You have an access to group fitness classes, ball game sessions and Monitoimitalo* and Kortepohja gyms.
2. A group fitness and ball games sticker 20€. You can participate in group fitness classes and ball game sessions.
3. A gym sticker 15€. You have an access to Kortepohja* and Monitoimitalo** gyms. 

All the stickers are valid until 31 of August 2017.
*You need a gym card to Kortepohja gym. You can pick up the free gym card from University shop Soppi.
**You need a wristband to Monitoimitalo gym. The wristband costs 7 euros and you have to buy it once. You can buy the wristband from the janitors at Monitoimitalo gym.

The Director of Administration’s decision on the user rights of University Sports services

 

University Sports of the University of Jyväskylä organises:

  • Academic Sports services that include group fitness classes, ballgame sessions and common sports events. The services are meant for the students and staff of the University of Jyväskylä and the JAMK University of Applied Sciences, as well as to the students of the Jyväskylä regional unit of the HUMAK University of Applied Sciences.
  • University Sports services that include courses, free classes of various sports and other activity meant only for the students of the University of Jyväskylä.

The following student and staff groups are entitled to the whole offering of University Sports (including the Academic Sports services in Jyväskylä) in accordance with the University Sports price list.

  • Students who pursue a bachelor’s, master’s or postgraduate degree at the University of Jyväskylä and have registered for attendance at the University of Jyväskylä for the current academic year. They can prove their eligibility to the services with a student card or registration certificate.
  • Visiting postgraduate students or exchange students who have registered for attendance at the University of Jyväskylä. They can prove their eligibility to the services with a student card or a registration certificate.
  • Students who pursue separate pedagogical studies at the University of Jyväskylä and have registered for attendance. They can prove their eligibility to the services with a registration certificate.
  • Students who pursue JOO studies at the University of Jyväskylä and have registered for attendance. They can prove their eligibility to the services with a registration certificate.
  • The employees of the University of Jyväskylä or its subsidiaries. They can prove their eligibility to the services with a staff card or a similar certificate.
  • The University of Jyväskylä’s grant employees who have no employment relationship with the University but work at the University premises with the permission of the head of department.  They can prove their eligibility to the services with a grant researcher ID card.

The following student and staff groups are entitled to the whole offering of Academic Sports services in Jyväskylä.

  • Students of the JAMK University of Applied Sciences and students comparable to full-time students (min. 5 ECTS credits / term) at the Open University of Applied Sciences (e.g. Open Study Path students). They can prove their eligibility to the services with a Kela meal subsidy card.  
  • The employees of the JAMK University of Applied Sciences. They can prove their eligibility to the services with a staff card.
  • Students of the Jyväskylä regional unit of the HUMAK University of Applied Sciences. They can prove their eligibility to the services with a student card or a registration certificate.

Students supplementing their degrees or completing separate study entities, the students of the Open University and part-time untenured teachers at the University of Jyväskylä are not eligible to the services of University Sports.

 

Payments for the sports services are decided separately.

This decision overrules all prior decisions on the rights to use the University Sports services.
